Dafydd yn arwain yr addoliad
(2 Samuel 6:17-22) 1Dyma nhw'n dod ag Arch Duw a'i gosod yn y babell roedd Dafydd wedi chodi iddi. Yna dyma nhw'n cyflwyno offrymau i'w llosgi ac offrymau i ofyn am fendith Duw. 2Ar ôl cyflwyno'r offrymau yma, dyma Dafydd yn bendithio'r bobl yn enw yr Arglwydd. 3Yna dyma fe'n rhannu bwyd i bawb yn Israel – dynion a merched. Cafodd pawb dorth o fara, teisen datys a teisen rhesin. 4Yna dyma fe'n penodi rhai o'r Lefiaid i arwain yr addoliad o flaen Arch yr Arglwydd, i ailadrodd yr hanes wrth ganu a moli'r Arglwydd, Duw Israel. 5Asaff oedd y pennaeth, a Sechareia yn ei helpu. Roedd Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Iechiel, Matitheia, Eliab, Benaia, Obed-Edom, a Jeiel yn canu nablau a thelynau gwahanol, ac Asaff yn taro'r symbalau; 6a'r offeiriaid, Benaia a Iachsiel yn canu utgyrn yn rheolaidd o flaen Arch Ymrwymiad Duw. 7Ar y diwrnod hwnnw rhoddodd Dafydd, i Asaff a'i gyfeillion, y gân hon o ddiolch:Salm o ddiolch

9Canwch iddo, a defnyddio cerddoriaeth i'w foli!
Dwedwch am y pethau rhyfeddol mae'n eu gwneud.
10Broliwch ei enw sanctaidd!
Boed i bawb sy'n ceisio'r Arglwydd ddathlu.
11Dewch at yr Arglwydd, profwch ei nerth;
ceisiwch ei gwmni bob amser.
12Cofiwch y pethau rhyfeddol a wnaeth –
ei wyrthiau, a'r cwbl y gwnaeth ei farnu!
13Ie, chi blant ei was Israel;
plant Jacob mae wedi eu dewis.
14Yr Arglwydd ein Duw ni ydy e;
yr un sy'n barnu'r ddaear gyfan.
15Cofiwch ei ymrwymiad bob amser,
a'i addewid am fil o genedlaethau –
16yr ymrwymiad wnaeth e i Abraham,
a'r addewid wnaeth e ar lw i Isaac.
17Yna ei gadarnhau yn rheol i Jacob –
ymrwymiad i Israel oedd i bara am byth!
18“Dw i'n rhoi gwlad Canaan i chi” meddai,
“yn etifeddiaeth i chi ei meddiannu.”
19Dim ond criw bach ohonoch chi oedd –
rhyw lond dwrn yn byw yno dros dro,
20ac yn crwydro o un wlad i'r llall,
ac o un deyrnas i'r llall.
21Wnaeth e ddim gadael i neb eu gormesu nhw;
roedd wedi rhybuddio brenhinoedd amdanyn nhw:
22“Peidiwch cyffwrdd fy mhobl sbesial ▼
▼16:22 fy mhobl sbesial Hebraeg, “fy rhai eneiniog”.
i;peidiwch gwneud niwed i'm proffwydi.”
23Y ddaear gyfan, canwch i'r Arglwydd!
a dweud bob dydd sut mae e'n achub.
24Dwedwch wrth y cenhedloedd mor wych ydy e;
wrth yr holl bobloedd am y pethau rhyfeddol mae'n eu gwneud.
25Mae'r Arglwydd yn Dduw mawr, ac yn haeddu ei foli!
Mae'n haeddu ei barchu fwy na'r ‛duwiau‛ eraill i gyd.
26Eilunod diwerth ydy duwiau'r holl bobloedd,
ond yr Arglwydd wnaeth greu y nefoedd!
27Mae ei ysblander a'i urddas yn amlwg;
mae cryfder a llawenydd yn ei bresenoldeb.
28Dewch bobl y cenhedloedd! Cyhoeddwch!
Cyhoeddwch mor wych ac mor gryf ydy'r Arglwydd!
29Cyhoeddwch mor wych ydy ei enw da!
Dewch o'i flaen i gyflwyno rhodd iddo!
Plygwch i addoli'r Arglwydd
sydd mor hardd yn ei gysegr!
30Crynwch o'i flaen, bawb drwy'r byd!
Mae'r ddaear yn saff, does dim modd ei symud.
31Boed i'r nefoedd a'r ddaear ddathlu'n llawen!
Dwedwch ymysg y cenhedloedd,
“Yr Arglwydd sy'n teyrnasu!”
32Boed i'r môr a phopeth sydd ynddo weiddi!
Boed i'r caeau a'u cnydau ddathlu!
33Bydd holl goed y goedwig yn siffrwd yn llawen
o flaen yr Arglwydd, am ei fod e'n dod –
mae'n dod i roi trefn ar y ddaear!
34Diolchwch i'r Arglwydd!
Mae e mor dda aton ni;
Mae ei haelioni yn ddiddiwedd!
35Dwedwch, “Achub ni, O Dduw yr achubwr!
Casgla ni ac achub ni o blith y cenhedloedd!
Wedyn byddwn ni'n diolch i ti, y Duw sanctaidd,
ac yn brolio'r cwbl wyt ti wedi ei wneud.”
36Bendith ar yr Arglwydd, Duw Israel,
o hyn ymlaen ac i dragwyddoldeb!
A dyma'r bobl i gyd yn dweud, “Amen! Haleliwia!”

37Dyma Dafydd yn penodi Asaff a'i frodyr i arwain yr addoliad o flaen Arch Ymrwymiad yr Arglwydd, ac i wneud popeth oedd angen ei wneud bob dydd. 38Gyda nhw roedd Obed-Edom a'i chwe deg wyth o frodyr. Obed-edom, mab Iedwthwn, a Chosa oedd yn gofalu am y giatiau. 39(Roedd wedi gadael Sadoc yr offeiriad, a'r offeiriaid eraill, i wasanaethu o flaen tabernacl yr Arglwydd wrth yr allor leol yn Gibeon. 40Roedden nhw i losgi offrymau i'r Arglwydd ar allor yr aberthau. Roedden nhw i wneud hyn bob bore a gyda'r nos fel mae'n dweud yn y gyfraith oedd yr Arglwydd wedi ei rhoi i Israel.) 41Yno gyda nhw roedd Heman, Iedwthwn ac eraill. Roedd y rhain wedi eu dewis wrth eu henwau i ddiolch i'r Arglwydd (Mae ei haelioni yn ddiddiwedd!) 42Heman a Iedwthwn oedd yn gofalu am yr utgyrn a'r symbalau a'r offerynnau cerdd eraill oedd yn cael eu defnyddio i foli Duw. A meibion Iedwthwn oedd yn gwarchod y fynedfa. 43Yna dyma'r bobl i gyd yn mynd adre, ac aeth Dafydd yn ôl i fendithio ei deulu ei hun.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
