Y dynion wnaeth ymuno gyda Dafydd yn Siclag

1Dyma enwau'r dynion wnaeth ymuno gyda Dafydd yn Siclag, pan oedd yn dal i guddio oddi wrth Saul fab Cish. (Roedden nhw'n rhai o'r rhyfelwyr wnaeth frwydro drosto, 2ac yn gallu defnyddio bwa saeth neu ffon dafl gyda'r llaw dde a'r chwith. Roedden nhw o lwyth Benjamin, sef yr un llwyth â Saul): 3Achieser oedd yr arweinydd, a Joash, meibion Shemaa o Gibea; Jesiel a Pelet, meibion Asmafeth; Beracha, Jehw o Anathoth, 4Ishmaïa o Gibeon (un o arweinwyr y tri deg milwr dewr), Jeremeia, Iachsiel, Iochanan, Iosafad o Gedera, 5Elwsai, Ierimoth, Bealeia, Shemareia, Sheffateia o Charwff, 6Elcana, Ishïa, Asarel, Ioeser, Iashofam, o glan Cora, 7Ioela a Sebadeia, meibion Ierocham o Gedor.O lwyth Gad
8Dyma rai o lwyth Gad yn dod at Dafydd i'w gaer yn yr anialwch. Roedd y rhain yn ddynion dewr, yn filwyr wedi profi eu hunain mewn rhyfel. Roedden nhw'n cario tarianau a gwaywffyn. Roedd golwg fel llewod arnyn nhw, ac roedden nhw'n gallu rhedeg mor gyflym â gasél ar y bryniau. 9Eser oedd y pennaeth, wedyn, mewn trefn, Obadeia, Eliab, 10Mishmanna, Jeremeia, 11Attai, Eliel, 12Iochanan, Elsabad 13Jeremeia, a Machbanai. 14Nhw oedd y capteniaid o lwyth Gad. Roedd cant o ddynion dan y lleiaf ohonyn nhw a dros fil o dan y mwyaf. 15Dyma'r rhai oedd wedi croesi'r Iorddonen yn ystod y mis cyntaf, pan oedd hi wedi gorlifo ei glannau i gyd. Roedden nhw wedi gwneud i bawb oedd yn byw yn y dyffrynnoedd, i'r dwyrain ac i'r gorllewin, ffoi o'u blaenau.Eraill o lwythau Benjamin a Jwda
16Dyma rai o lwyth Benjamin a llwyth Jwda hefyd, yn dod i'r gaer at Dafydd. 17Dyma Dafydd yn mynd allan i'w cyfarfod nhw, a dweud, “Os ydych wedi dod yn heddychlon i fy helpu i, yna dw i'n barod i ymuno â chi. Ond os ydych chi wedi dod i fy mradychu i'm gelynion, yna bydd Duw ein hynafiaid yn gweld hynny ac yn eich cosbi. Dw i wedi gwneud dim o'i le i chi.” 18A dyma ysbryd yn dod ar Amasai, pennaeth y tri deg, a dyma fe'n canu: “Dŷn ni gyda ti Dafydd!Ar dy ochr di fab Jesse!
Heddwch a llwyddiant i ti.
A heddwch i'r rhai sy'n dy helpu.
Yn wir, mae dy Dduw yn dy helpu.”
Felly dyma Dafydd yn eu derbyn nhw ac yn eu gwneud yn gapteiniaid ar griwiau ymosod.
O Lwyth Manasse
19Roedd rhai o lwyth Manasse wedi dod drosodd at Dafydd pan aeth gyda'r Philistiaid i ymladd yn erbyn Saul. Ond wnaethon nhw ddim helpu'r Philistiaid achos, ar ôl trafod, dyma arweinwyr y Philistiaid yn eu hanfon i ffwrdd. Roedden nhw'n wedi trafod â'i gilydd a dweud, “Petai e'n mynd drosodd at ei feistr, Saul, bydden ni'n cael ein lladd!” 20Pan oedd Dafydd ar ei ffordd i Siclag, dyma'r dynion yma o lwyth Manasse yn ymuno gydag e: Adnach, Iosafad, Iediael, Michael, Josabad, Elihw a Silthai. Roedden nhw i gyd yn gapteiniaid ar unedau o fil yn Manasse. 21Buon nhw'n help mawr i Dafydd pan oedd criwiau o filwyr yn ymosod, am eu bod yn filwyr dewr ac yn gapteiniaid yn y fyddin. 22Yr adeg yna roedd dynion yn dod drosodd at Dafydd bob dydd, nes bod ei fyddin wedi tyfu'n fyddin enfawr.Rhestr o ddilynwyr Dafydd yn Hebron
23Dyma gofnod o'r milwyr a'u harweinwyr wnaeth ymuno gyda Dafydd yn Hebron, i'w wneud yn frenin yn lle Saul (fel roedd yr Arglwydd wedi dweud): 24O lwyth Jwda – 6,800 o filwyr arfog yn cario tarianau a gwaywffyn.25O lwyth Simeon – 7,100 o filwyr dewr.
26O lwyth Lefi – 4,600. 27Daeth Jehoiada (arweinydd disgynyddion Aaron) a 3,700 o ddynion, 28a Sadoc, milwr ifanc, a 22 arweinydd o'i glan.
29O lwyth Benjamin (sef y llwyth roedd Saul yn perthyn iddo) – 3,000. Roedd y rhan fwya ohonyn nhw, cyn hynny, wedi bod yn deyrngar i Saul.
30O lwyth Effraim – 20,800 o filwyr, pob un yn enwog yn ei glan ei hun.
31O hanner llwyth Manasse – 18,000 wedi cael eu dewis i ddod i wneud Dafydd yn frenin.
32O lwyth Issachar – 200 o gapteiniaid a'u perthnasau i gyd oddi tanyn nhw. Roedden nhw'n deall arwyddion yr amserau, ac yn gwybod beth oedd y peth gorau i Israel ei wneud.
33O lwyth Sabulon – 50,000 o filwyr arfog yn barod i'r frwydr ac yn hollol deyrngar i Dafydd.
34O lwyth Nafftali – 1,000 o swyddogion a 37,000 o filwyr yn cario tarianau a gwaywffyn.
35O lwyth Dan – 28,600 o ddynion yn barod i ymladd.
36O lwyth Asher – 40,000 o filwyr yn barod i ymladd.
37O'r ochr draw i'r Afon Iorddonen (llwythau Reuben, Gad, a hanner llwyth Manasse) – 120,000 o ddynion yn cario pob math o arfau.
38Roedd y dynion yma i gyd yn barod i fynd i ryfel. Roedden nhw wedi dod i Hebron i wneud Dafydd yn frenin ar Israel gyfan. Ac roedd gweddill pobl Israel yn cytuno mai Dafydd ddylai fod yn frenin. 39Buon nhw yno yn gwledda gyda Dafydd am dri diwrnod. Roedd eu perthnasau wedi darparu bwydydd iddyn nhw. 40Hefyd roedd pobl eraill, o mor bell ag Issachar, Sabulon a Nafftali, yn dod â bwyd iddyn nhw ar asynnod, camelod, mulod ac ychen. Roedd yno lwythi enfawr o flawd, cacennau ffigys, sypiau o rhesins, gwin, olew olewydd, cig eidion a chig oen. Roedd Israel yn dathlu!

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
