Lamentations 1
Авторството на книгата Плачът на Йеремия се приписва на пророк Йеремия според гръцкия превод на Библията ( Септуагинта ). В 2 Лет. 35:25 се споменава, че Йеремия е записал плача си, предназначен за цар Йосия. Всъщност книгата представлява описание на оплакване не само за един цар, а за падането на Юдейското царство под вавилонско робство и последвалия плен на еврейския народ. Ако се приеме, че авторът е очевидец на разрушението на Йерусалим, написването на книгата се осъществява около 580 г. пр. Хр. Съществуват и други мнения, като например това, че книгата описва обсадата на Йерусалим от Антиох Епифан през 170 – 168 г. пр. Хр. Книгата е разделена на 5 глави и е написана под формата на плач, поетично ридание. В нея се съдържа обаче и молитва към Господа за избавление с увереност, че тази молитва ще бъде чута.Скръб за разорения Йерусалим

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
