1 a И така, Йосиф влезе при фараона и му извести: Баща ми и братята ми, стадата им и добитъкът им, и всичко, което имат, дойдоха от Ханаанската земя и сега са в Гесенската земя. 2 b И взе петима от братята си и ги представи на фараона. 3 c А фараонът каза на братята му: Какво е занятието ви? А те отговориха на фараона: Ние, слугите ти, и бащите ни сме овчари. 4 d Казаха още на фараона: Дойдохме да поживеем в тази земя, защото няма пасище за стадата на слугите ти, понеже гладът се засили в Ханаанската земя; затова, молим ти се, нека слугите ти живеят в Гесенската земя. 5 И фараонът говори на Йосиф: Баща ти и братята ти дойдоха при теб; 6 e Египетската земя е пред тебе; настани баща си и братята си в най-добрата местност от земята; нека живеят в Гесенската земя. на годините на живота ти? 9 g А Яков отвърна на фараона: Числото на годините на странстването ми е сто и тридесет години; малко и зло е било числото на годините на живота ми и не достигна до числото на годините на живота на бащите ми във времето на тяхното странстване. 10 h И като благослови фараона, Яков излезе от фараоновото присъствие. 11 i Тогава Йосиф настани баща си и братята си, като им даде имот в Египетската земя, в най-добрата местност от земята в Рамесийската земя, според както заповяда фараонът. 12 И Йосиф хранеше баща си, братята си и целия си бащин дом с хляб според големината на домовете им. 13 j А нямаше хляб по цялата земя, защото гладът, дотолкова се засилваше, че Египетската земя и Ханаанската земя изнемощяха от глада. 14 k Йосиф прибра всички пари, които се намираха в Египетската и Ханаанската земя, за житото, което купуваха; и Йосиф донесе парите във фараоновия дом. 15 l И като се свършиха всички пари в Египетската земя и Ханаанската земя, всички египтяни дойдоха при Йосиф и му казаха: Дай ни хляб; защо да умираме пред тебе, понеже се свършиха парите ни? 16 А Йосиф отговори: Ако парите ви са се свършили, докарайте добитъка си и ще ви дам хляб срещу добитъка ви. 17 И така, докараха добитъка си на Йосиф; и Йосиф им даваше хляб срещу конете, стадата, добитъка и ослите им; и така, през онази година той ги изхрани с хляб срещу целия им добитък. 18 След като се измина онази година, дойдоха при него и другата година и му казаха: Няма да скрием от господаря си, че всичките ни пари се свършиха; и добитъкът стана на господаря ни; не остана друго пред господаря ни освен телата ни и земята ни. 19 Защо да измрем пред очите ти и земята ни да запустее? Купи нас и земята ни за хляб и ние ще бъдем слуги на фараона, и земята ни ще ражда за него. Дай ни и семе, за да останем живи, да не умрем и да не запустее земята. 20 И така, Йосиф закупи за фараона цялата Египетска земя, защото египтяните продаваха всеки нивата си, понеже гладът се засилваше над тях; така земята стана фараонова. 21 И той пресели населението в градовете от единия до другия край на египетските предели. 22 m Само земята на жреците не закупи, защото жреците имаха определен от фараона дял и се прехранваха от дела, който фараонът им даде; затова не продадоха земята си. 23 Тогава Йосиф каза на хората: Ето, днес закупих вас и земята ви за фараона; ето ви семе и засейте земята. 24 Затова по време на беритбата ще давате петата част на фараона, а четирите части ще бъдат за вас да засеете нивите и за храна за вас и домашните ви, и за храна на децата ви. 25 n А те отговориха: Ти опази живота ни; нека придобием благоволението на господаря си и ще бъдем слуги на фараона. 26 o И Йосиф направи това закон в Египетската земя, както е и до днес, да се дава петата част на фараона; само земята на жреците единствено не стана фараонова. How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
